Volunteering at the
Ecology Park
Volunteers play an important role at the Ecology Park.
They lend a hand with just about everything that happens at the
Park! Some of the things the Ecology Park's volunteers do include:
- tending gardens
- writing signs
- potting and watering plants
- planning special events
- making displays or costumes
- researching gardening or land stewardship
- collecting seeds
- assisting with ecological restoration projects
Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet great people and learn
new skills. Every Wednesday from April through October is a volunteer
drop-in day at the Ecology Park, anytime between 10:00 AM and 5:00
PM.
Anyone who'd like to help, but is not available on Wednesdays,
should call Peterborough Green-Up at (705) 745-3238, or stop by
to speak with Ecology Park staff to arrange a suitable time to lend
a hand.
The Ecology Park also welcomes the assistance of secondary students
looking for opportunities to complete their community service hours.
